The Graduate collection ‘Opulence’ takes inspiration from various sources, including queer identity, 1600’s Western European menswear silhouettes, nostalgic references to Lewis’ grandparents’ motorcycles, and West Midlands carpet designs.

Altered and Evolved

In collaboration with The Heritage Lottery Fund and Hartlebury Castle, Lewis designed a dress inspired by the diaries of Emily Pepys and the Georgian-Victorian era. Combining influences from contemporary fashion and the herringbone brick fireplace in The Great Hall, the dress was selected for display at the Museum’s reopening in Easter 2018.

About Lewis

Lewis is a sustainability-focused Fashion Design graduate with a passion for sustainability, history and queer subculture who specialises in costume and slow fashion. He prioritises using natural, biodegradable materials with lower environmental impact.

He has experience working with defective latex sheeting and has developed digital skills in Adobe Creative Cloud, CLO 3D, and during his university studies, collaborating with industry professionals through live briefs and work placements.
